On July 19, 2024, in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, eastern China, a proud father shared the remarkable story of his 11-year-old son, a primary school student with a profound interest in science and rocketry.

The child spent his summer vacation intensely focused, sitting daily at the computer, absorbing various scientific disciplines and constructing small rockets.

He even set up a temporary bed in his workshop to maximize his study and building time. He has independently advanced his knowledge in mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering, electronics, aerospace, and programming that are beyond the pace of his current studies, showcasing an impressive dedication to his passion for rocket science.

The boy Yan Hongsen became fascinated with rockets at the age of 8, and by the time he was 9, he had already built a small model rocket and successfully launched it on his own. According to his father, he is preparing to launch his second rocket this summer, which is now being constantly upgraded.

In fact, at the age of 9, the boy was famous and interviewed for his great passion for aerospace and knowledge beyond his age, and was invited to visit the Harbin Institute of Technology, which is known as ‘the first school of China's aerospace industry’, through which, according to the child himself, he was more determined on his dream of building a real rocket in the future.
