Aerial footage shows the devastation caused by Typhoon Gaemi in the Philippines where at least 13 people were killed.

Muddy floods turned roads into rivers while residents waded through the water rushing to flee in Bulacan province on July 24.

Cars were stuck in the deluge, some abandoned by their drivers in a bid to find safer grounds. Meanwhile, rescuers used bigger trucks and boats to ferry residents to evacuation centres.

Typhoon Gaemi killed at least 13 in the Philippines after lashing through mainland Luzon for almost a week, intensifying monsoon rains. It moved north to Taiwan, killing three people and injuring more than 200 when it made landfall.
