Honolulu, United States - July 22, 2024

Multinational naval vessels assembled in a striking formation on July 22 off the coast of Hawaii as part of Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024. This year's iteration of RIMPAC involves 29 nations deploying 40 surface ships, and three submarines, and coordinating with 14 national land forces, supported by over 150 aircraft and 25,000 personnel. Scheduled from June 27 to August 1, RIMPAC 2024 marks the 29th edition since its inception in 1971.

Designed as the world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC serves as a crucial training platform aimed at enhancing cooperation and operational readiness among participating nations. The exercise plays a pivotal role in safeguarding global sea lanes and promoting maritime security. As multinational fleets navigate complex scenarios around the Hawaiian Islands, RIMPAC continues to strengthen international partnerships essential for maintaining peace and stability across the world's oceans.
