[Voice_over]
China's exports of ships and vessels are riding a wave of robust growth as the country continues to cement its role as a leader in the global shipbuilding industry.
Data shows that in the first half of the year, China's ship exports surged more than 85 percent from the same period last year to over 20 billion U.S. dollars.
Chinese shipbuilders, meanwhile, clinched more than 70 percent of the world's orders for new ships.
This shipyard in the northeastern port city of Dalian says their production is scheduled until 2028, with almost all orders placed by foreign clients.

Jiang Hongliang, director, production management department, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company (DSIC):
"The quality, operation efficiency, energy-saving performance and other indicators of our independently designed products have all been highly recognized by the shipowners. And we satisfy the shipowners' demand in the cycle of shipbuilding, as our on-time delivery rate is 100 percent. Internationally, 90 percent of shipping companies engage in cooperation with us. We have also developed business relations with many ship companies which cooperate with Chinese shipyards for the first time, further expanding our market presence and market share."

Li Yanqing, Secretary-General, China Association of National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI):
"China's shipbuilding industry has been globally recognized. The fact that we account for 75 percent of the new orders worldwide evidences that all of them are willing to cooperate with Chinese shipyards and ship companies, thus a new development paradigm of global industrial chain and supply chain with China as the center has come into being. China's shipbuilding brands represent both our quality and our sci-tech innovation and complete service system. It is the most important aspect of our new quality productive forces."
