Police stopped traffic to help a duck family cross the interstate road in Connecticut.

Footage shows officers assisting the birds move across Interstate 91 in Hartford on July 22. Troop H responded to multiple 911 calls reporting the animal near exit 33 around 3:47 PM, leading to initial efforts to clear the roadway.

Despite these efforts, the ducks returned, prompting a second response where a DMV officer arrived first. Police then assisted in traffic control to ensure safety.

Hartford animal control was called to facilitate the ducks' safe removal from the highway to a secure location.

Body-worn camera footage captured the efforts of responding officers as they guided the ducks off the roadway onto the shoulder, mitigating further traffic disruptions.

Authorities advised motorists to remain vigilant and cautious during such incidents to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of both drivers and wildlife.
