United States: Havilah Borel Wildfire Burns Over 31K Acres Horses Rescued
Bakersfield, United States - July 26, 2024
07/26/2024 07:30 pm (GMT-0800) | HAVILAH, Calif. – The Borel Fire, which began July 24 near Highway 178, has burned over 31,950 acres and continues to destroy homes near the town of Havilah, according to radio traffic. There were also reports of two Kern County sheriff’s deputies who were surrounded by fire and had to be rescued by firefighters. It is unknown if there were any injuries.
Two horses were rescued and seen being walked up the road from Havilah.
More evacuation orders have been issued.
