STORYLINE:
China has rolled out a 15-day visa-free entry policy for 15 countries on a trial basis, and expanded the coverage of its 144-hour visa-free transit policy to 37 ports of entry.
Foreign nationals from 54 countries are eligible for the policy for short-term activities such as travel and business visits.
In a recent interview, Leszek Slazyk, a Polish expert on China, hailed China's visa facilitation, noting it offers a good chance for Westerners to experience a real China.

"I had an opportunity to go to China in May, so I could visit several cities, including Shanghai. I used to live in Shanghai (in the) 1990s, but then because of my work, I had no chance to visit the city.
I found that there is a lot of change concerning, for example, the quality of daily life. The streets are so clean. They are so green, full of plants. People, I think, are more colorful. I found a lot of so-called "silver foxes" enjoying trips to Shanghai, making some TikTok movies.
This is exactly my impression that even if you read this, even if you watch some movies, for example, movies which I made during this trip, this is something which you can see, but you don't feel, you don't sense. This is very, very, very interesting experience, especially for, I believe, for Western people, just to touch, just to be inside."
Slazyk also planned to take advantage of visa facilitation to organize business tours for Polish entrepreneurs in the future to experience China's development.
SOUNDBITE 2 (English): LESZEK SLAZYK, Polish expert on China
"This is what I am going to do in the near future, so to arrange groups like 15, 20 people who are entrepreneurs of managers of big companies, and take them to China to visit big companies or medium-sized companies in China, to let them see automated, robotized ports in China, to let them see how infrastructure in China works.
I want them to experience what I experienced, and then go and touch, go to see and feel."
