Paris, France - July 26, 2024

The China Media Group (CMG) and the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) agreed on Friday to deepen their cooperation in sports broadcasting.

The agreement came ahead of the the 2024 Paris Olympic Games which opened Friday evening in the French capital of Paris.

During his meeting with CNOSF President David Lappartient, CMG President Shen Haixiong said that CMG's broadcasting of the Games with a record-breaking scale will incorporate 5G+4K/8K+AI technologies to present a sporting feast for millions of viewers in the world.

Lappartient expressed his gratitude to CMG for sending a robust broadcasting team to cover the Games comprehensively. He praised CMG's world-class capabilities in sports event production and innovative technology, which ensures CMG to bring an unparalleled sports and cultural feast to global audiences.

Lappartient said he expected more people will better understand France, fall in love with France and come to France because of CMG.

As an international media organization responsible for the largest number of public signal production projects at the Games, CMG has once again set a new record with its extensive broadcasting scale.

Lappartient is also the chair of the International Olympic Committee's Esports and Gaming Liaison Group.

The two sides also agreed to have more cooperation in esports and the 2030 Winter Olympic Games in the French Alps.

CNOSF is France's national Olympic committee. Its first president, French educator Pierre de Coubertin, is known as the father of the modern Olympic Games.
