United States: Arizona Sergeant Rescues Juvenile Eagle in Heroic Roadside Act

Sergeant Giralde of Arizona has been hailed for his quick thinking and compassion after rescuing a distressed juvenile eagle during an off-duty road construction detail on July 11th. While working, construction workers noticed the bird seek shelter under his patrol vehicle, exhibiting signs of distress.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Sergeant Giralde and Deputy Klepper carefully maneuvered the vehicle to safely retrieve the eagle. Concerned for its well-being in the heat, they placed the bird in the back seat to cool down before contacting the Arizona Raptor Center for assistance.
The Arizona Raptor Center identified the bird as a juvenile eagle that had likely become separated from its parents. They praised Sergeant Giralde's actions, noting that without intervention, the eagle may not have survived. The center has since taken custody of the eagle, providing necessary care for its recovery.
