The Palestinian death toll from the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip had risen to 39,258, health authorities in the besieged enclave said on Saturday.

A total of 90,589 people had been wounded since the latest round of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict broke out in October of last year, the health authorities said in a statement.

In the last 24 hours alone, the Israeli strikes killed 41 people and injured 103 others in Gaza, according to the authorities.

At least 30 Palestinians were killed and more than 100 others injured in Israeli bombing on a field hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, the Gaza-based health authorities said on Saturday.

The hospital was located inside the Khadija School, and the Israeli army bombed the hospital with three missiles launched from fighter jets, the Hamas-run media office said on Saturday, noting that the Israeli attacks have put enormous pressure on local medical teams and caused a shortage of health and medical supplies in Gaza.

Also on Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement that based on precise intelligence, the Israeli Air Force raided the "terrorists" operating in a Hamas command and control center inside the Khadija School compound in central Gaza.

"Hamas terrorists used the compound as a hideout to direct and plan numerous attacks against IDF troops and the state of Israel," the IDF said, stressing that prior to the strike, they had taken steps to avoid causing civilian casualties.

The statement was defied by senior Hamas officials, who claimed that such statements were lies and the air strike was part of Israel's extensive genocide against Palestinians.

Gaza's Civil Defense Service said on Saturday that Israel's offensives in Khan Younis have caused 170 deaths and hundreds of injuries since July 22.

On the same day, the IDF issued a new evacuation order for Khan Younis residents, warning continued attacks against Hamas in the area.

This is the second time in a week Israel ordered local residents to evacuate to designated areas.

In another Israeli attack on the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus in the northern West Bank, two Palestinians were killed and 22 others injured, the Palestinian Health Ministry said on Saturday.
