Bizarre footage has emerged from China of a man kissing a police officer twice during confrontation.

The video, filmed in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region last Thursday, shows the 26-year-old man trying to stop police officers from confiscating tables and chairs outside his restaurant. A scuffle then ensues involving two women.

During the confrontation, the man accidentally kisses one of the officers, which leads to another ruck. In total, he kissed the officer twice.

According to local reports, the restaurant owner kept putting tables and chairs outside where he wasn't allowed so police came to temporarily confiscate them.

The man eventually spent eight days in custody.
