UK's most dangerous wreck SS Richard Montgomery up-close off Kent
The UK's most dangerous shipwreck can be found only 1.5 miles off of a town in Kent, UK.
SS Richard Montgomery sank offshore of Sheerness back in 1944 with 1400 tonnes of explosives onboard.
Close-up footage captured from a sailing boat at low-tide this afternoon (July 28) shows the eerie sight of the ship's three masts visible above the waterline.
Some experts believe the deterioration of the wreck has sped-up based on a recently published survey by the UK's Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA).
An exclusion zone (marked by 4 yellow buoys) surrounds the wreck which all craft are prohibited from entering.
