Residents waded through floods as typhoon Gaemi submerged homes in the Philippines.

Footage shows families walking in waist-deep deluge when the heavy rains stopped in Bulacan on July 24.

The water turned dark green, and an electricity meter outside a building was seen smoking as it was partially dipped in water.

Resident Reign Custodio said: 'People still come outside despite the flood rising to their waist.'

Typhoon Gaemi killed 22 in the Philippines after lashing through mainland Luzon for almost a week, intensifying monsoon rains. It headed to Taiwan killing three people and injuring more than 200 when it made landfall.
