USA: KC-135 Refuels F-18s During RIMPAC 2024 Exercises

A KC-135 Stratotanker from the 927th Air Refueling Wing based in Florida played a crucial role in Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024 by refueling U.S. Navy F-18 Super Hornets near Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The aerial refueling operations, conducted on July 23rd, exemplified the strategic cooperation among participating nations in one of the world's largest maritime exercises.
RIMPAC 2024, spanning from June 27th to August 1st, gathers 29 nations, 40 surface ships, three submarines, 14 national land forces, over 150 aircraft, and 25,000 personnel around the Hawaiian Islands. This exercise not only enhances operational readiness but also strengthens international relationships crucial for safeguarding global sea lanes and maritime security.
Established in 1971, RIMPAC has evolved into a cornerstone event for naval forces worldwide, providing a unique platform for training in realistic scenarios ranging from humanitarian assistance to complex maritime operations.
