Moroccan student Asmae Mahmoudi recently set off to uncover the truth about Chinese night markets being "dangerous." Her journey took her to east China's Jinhu, a city famous for its crayfish production.

"I heard people say that there's this really dangerous place in China, and it's called the night market. Now, not only will it take all your pocket money when you're there but also it will give you 10 pounds worth of belly fat. My name is Asmae. I'm a Moroccan and I love adventures.
Now, speaking of adventures, I really want to see if it's true that this night market is as dangerous as they portray it. You want to figure it out? Let's go.
When I first came here, it was still sunny. All the workers were trying to prepare for the amazing night. And the first thing that I got to know is that there's this really amazing discount for university students, and I just happened to be one. So of course, I took advantage of that situation.
There was everything you could think of. It's not just a water (wet) market. There're barbecue, chicken, French fries, juice, dessert, everything that you would really want to have. But really the most special dish, of course, is the crayfish. It was absolutely delicious.
So the chef, when I asked him, he said that they had so many flavors. I remembered specifically this spicy one and the garlic one which just happened to be my favorite, absolutely gorgeous, absolutely delicious.
And then you just buy them, and then you come here to enjoy, all these people sitting together with their friends and families, coming after their work and enjoying the performances and after that the game.
