Border collie shows natural herding instincts by chasing cars
This is the amusing moment a Border Collie showed its natural herding instincts by chasing cars.
Mr Xi spotted the lively canine playing along a damp roadside, initially thinking it was an abandoned dog in Yuncheng, Shanxi, China, on July 24.
Footage shows the pooch running around, intently following the passing vehicles on the road during a light downpour. The dog's owner was standing nearby watching over his pet pooch enjoying its favouring activity.
The filmer said: 'I felt sorry for the dog, so I sat in my car and watched it for a while. I even bought some hot dogs and chicken legs, but he didn't want any of it.'
The dog's owner contacted Mr Xi to say that the dog simply loved chasing fast-moving objects and had someone watching over it.
Border Collies were bred to herd sheep. They are known for their strength, stamina, intelligence, and strong work ethic. They are also famous for their intense gaze, which they use to control and direct flocks.
