On July 28, a sudden landslide occurred on the Jinan-Weifang Expressway (K95 section), heading towards Qingdao. Surveillance footage captured the dramatic moment as a massive flow of earth and rocks cascaded down, burying the road and collapsing an overhead sign structure. In a life-or-death moment, passing vehicles reacted swiftly—some skillfully avoiding the landslide zone, while others made emergency stops, successfully averting a tragedy.

Following the incident, traffic on the affected stretch has been halted, with the reopening time yet to be determined. Emergency response teams and repair crews have been dispatched to clear the debris and restore the road.

Preliminary analysis suggests that the landslide was likely caused by a combination of geological conditions, weather factors, and potential engineering issues. The area may have been predisposed to instability due to fractured rock layers and recent rainfall, which undermined the mountain's stability. Additionally, issues with slope protection and drainage systems during construction might have contributed to the event.
