Officers Bob Rajcan and Tye Lauener of the Alliance Police Department (APD) undertook an unusual rescue mission today, saving a kitten trapped in the intricate gears of an electric reclining chair at a residence on Summit Street. The feline's ordeal, unlike the more typical tree or sewer rescues, required delicate maneuvering to free it from the machinery.

The officers, known for their swift response and compassion, collaborated with the City of Alliance Fire Department to safely extricate the kitten. Despite the challenging circumstances, the rescue was successful, and the grateful family expressed relief as their furry companion emerged unharmed.

"This isn't something we handle every day, but it's incredibly rewarding to help in any way we can," Officer Rajcan commented. The APD extends its appreciation to the fire department for their invaluable support during the operation.

The kitten, now safe and sound, is reported to be in good health following its unexpected adventure in the reclining chair.
