"Currently, Mount Lewotobi Men is at Level III (Alert) status," said Emanuel Rofinus Bere, Lewotobi Volcano Post officer in his written report on July 31, 2024.

This eruption ejected volcanic material as high as 1,000 meters above the mountain peak and moved along the wind direction to the northwest.

Apart from earthquakes, Mount Lewotobi Laki also experienced eruptions four times in the last 9 hours.

Meanwhile, previously Dulipali Village and Klatanlo Village, which are on the slopes of Mount Lewotobi Laki, were again hit by cold lava floods on Saturday, July 27 2024 after moderate intensity rain.

The Head of Klatanlo Village, Petrus, said that the duration of the rain was not too long but it caused a flood of cold lava that crossed the river into the settlement.

"We always urge residents to always be alert, especially if their houses are located in the flood route. If the rain continues to fall, we direct them to evacuate to a safe place," he explained.
