Drone visuals highlight devastating impact of Wayanad landslides.

Massive landslides, triggered by heavy rainfall, struck the hilly regions of Wayanad district in Kerala during the early hours of Tuesday.

The villages of Mundakkai, Chooralmala, Attamala, and Noolpuzha were among the hardest hit, with access to these areas cut off by the landslides.
Rescue efforts are in full swing, with teams working relentlessly to evacuate those who are stranded. The Indian Army has joined forces with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to aid in the rescue operations.
Three camps have been set up in Wayanad to assist those affected. According to the Kerala Revenue Minister's office, 12 individuals are undergoing treatment at Kalpetta Government Hospital, and 77 are receiving medical care at WIMS Wayanad. The official report states that eight deaths occurred at WIMS, while one each was reported at Meppadi Community Health Centre and Vythiri Taluk Hospital. Additionally, 27 injured individuals are being treated at Meppadi CHC, and a total of 35 were reported dead and 27 undergoing treatment at Bathery Taluk Hospital.
