United States: Castaic Car Plunges off Roadway Driver Arrested for DUI
Los Angeles, United States - July 29, 2024
07/29/2024 10:37 pm (GMT-0700) | CASTAIC, Calif. – A man was arrested for DUI after the sedan he was driving departed the roadway and plunged more than 200 feet down a hillside.
The crash occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Lake Hughes Road, north of Ridge Route Road and east of Castaic Lake.
The vehicle landed on its roof above the edge of the lake with both its driver and his passenger being assisted by good Samaritans to reach the roadway.
CHP officers conducted a field sobriety test on the driver and subsequently handcuffed the man, later confirming to Key News Network the driver had been drinking and was being arrested.
