United States: Lamont 1 Dead After Suffering Gunshot Wound and Crash

07/29/2024 09:28 pm (GMT-0800) | LAMONT. Calif. Around 9:28 p.m., the California Highway Patrol and Kern County Sheriff's responded to reports of a white Infiniti that crashed into a flatbed at the intersection of Georgetown Avenue and Field Street in Lamont.
Upon arrival, first responders found a deceased individual inside the white Infiniti. According to radio traffic, the scene was declared a crime scene due to suspicious circumstances.
The man was found suffering from a gunshot wound. However, the manner of death will be released by the Kern County Corner's Office, according to KBAK-TV.
The Kern County Sheriff's Office has taken over the investigation and had the area currently shut down. No further information has been confirmed by officials at this time.
