Garden wall collapses while being battered by rain
A garden wall collapsed while being battered by heavy rain in Thailand.
CCTV footage shows the concrete structure slowly subsiding as the soil underneath had been weakened by the water in Chaiyaphum province on May 25.
It plunged to the fields below but fortunately no one was hurt as the residents were inside the house when it happened.
House owner Poy said: ‘The rainwater was too much for the soil and caused it to collapse.'
Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are at the start of their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms. The rudimentary infrastructure often struggles with the deluge, leading to widespread flash floods.
