PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) has announced that Indonesian drivers have successfully operated the high-speed train serving the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway (HSR) at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
KCIC Corporate Secretary General Manager Eva Chairunisa said this is an important milestone marking Indonesia's readiness to independently manage and operate high-speed train technology.
Chairunisa said that the achievement demonstrates the effective knowledge transfer between Chinese and Indonesian professionals.
She added that KCIC will continue to improve training and knowledge transfer programs to ensure that all aspects of high-speed train operation and maintenance can be carried out independently by local workers.
Chairunisa revealed that 600 local employees are undergoing training in facility maintenance, infrastructure maintenance, train operations, and other fields.
