On July 24, a dramatic incident unfolded in Luding County, Ganzi, southern China, as massive boulders tumbled from a mountainside onto the road below. A small car, navigating the perilous stretch, narrowly avoided disaster thanks to the driver’s quick thinking and calm response.

The incident occurred on July 24 along National Highway 318. Ms. Yu was driving her car through the area when a boulder "as large as a table" suddenly plummeted towards the road ahead. Reacting swiftly, Ms. Yu lightly tapped the brakes to stabilize the vehicle before accelerating rapidly, narrowly escaping the falling rocks.

Ms. Yu's composure and sharp reflexes ensured she avoided a potentially catastrophic event. While her car sustained minor scrapes, she emerged unscathed.

Following the report, Luding County traffic authorities promptly cleared the area of debris, ensuring the road's safety for other travelers.
