The Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) Northwest Region has released a captivating video showcasing boreal toad tadpoles, produced by native aquatic species biologists.

The video provides an up-close look at these fascinating amphibians, highlighting their unique features and habitat. Notably, the boreal toad is Colorado's sole alpine species of toad, thriving in mountainous lakes, ponds, and meadows situated at elevations ranging from 8,500 feet to 11,500 feet.

This educational initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of conserving native wildlife, particularly species like the boreal toad, which play a vital role in their ecosystem. CPW continues its efforts to monitor and protect these toads and their habitats amid environmental challenges.
