Eight carriages of train 491 derail in Volgograd region collision, 100 injured
On July 29, 2024, a serious accident occurred in the Volgograd region of Russia when eight carriages of train #491, traveling from Kazan to Adler, derailed after colliding with a KamAZ truck. Despite emergency braking efforts by the train's drivers, the collision could not be avoided. The incident resulted in approximately 100 injuries, including six children. Footage from the scene shows significant damage to the train's locomotive.
