Buildings were left collapsed and many roads were submerged as devastating rains left a trail of destruction in Delhi.

The capital received a record-breaking amount of rain in a single day, smashing a record that has lasted 14 years.

At least 10 people have died as a result of rain-related incidents.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), meanwhile, has forecast no relief from the rain chaos, issuing a red alert. According to its latest bulletin, heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning will continue in Delhi till August 5
