In northern India's Uttarakhand, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has been tirelessly conducting rescue operations for the past two days, saving over 3,500 pilgrims stranded on the Kedarnath pilgrimage route.

The incident took place in Kedarnath of Rudraprayag district on August 2.

Visuals showed how the rescue team members helped the people out at every step of the route.

Speaking to Newslions Media, SDRF Media Coordinator, Miss Lalita Negi mentioned that following the destruction of the mountain path, the rescue teams have been using rope rescue techniques along the riverbanks and drones to monitor and identify alternative routes. The operation is being led by Commandant Manikant Mishra, who has been providing crucial rescue instructions. Additionally, a search operation continues near Lincholi Tharu Camp, where a body was recently discovered. The SDRF also demonstrated honesty by returning a lost purse containing cash and valuables to its owner.
