Video shows the aftermath of a car crash near a prominent London landmark.

The diver of a black Audi TT appeared to have smashed into a bollard and bounced off it - while heading along the north side of Albert Bridge in Battersea, London.

The 2016-plate sports car - which costs £40k - was left with its bumper hanging off and both headlights were smashed.

Police and fire services attended the scene at 2.20pm and cordoned the entire bridge off.

An eyewitness - who wished to remain anonymous - said the driver and their passenger got out unscathed and no ambulances had attended the scene.

He said: "I heard the crash from the building I'm in. "

"From what I can see, the car hit the bollard and bounced off it. "

"Albert Bridge is completely blocked off now. "

"I think the driver and the passenger are both OK - there haven't been any ambulances. "

"From what I can see, an airbag was deployed after the crash."
