Disney superfan spends £10k collecting merch - including 700 cuddly toys
A Disney superfan has spent £10k collecting merch - including 700 cuddly toys.
Ronni Carter, 19, has a collection of thousands of Disney items which she has been collating since getting her first plushie as a baby.
Growing up, every birthday and Christmas, Ronni would ask for anything Disney-related.
She estimates she has around 700 plushies in her immense collection, as well as around 30 vinyls, 30 mouse ears, 50 pin badges and more.
The Disney superfan has seen every Disney movie and watches a different film every day.
The full-time content creator says sitting amongst her Disney collection watching Disney films helps with her anxiety and autism in a way nothing else can.
It also brought her comfort after losing her grandfather, Barry Cork, 70, in 2023, because she loved knowing every film would have a happy ending.
Ronni, from Greenwich, London, said: "I love to display all my Disney items in my bedroom and I move them around regularly."
"I have to store some in a cabin in the garden, and some of them up in the loft - I have no idea what will happen when I run out of space."
"There are still plenty more on my wish list too."
"When I am around my toys and watching a Disney film, I can get lost in a safe world."
"I don't think I'll ever get bored of Disney - I just love it."
Ronni got her first Disney toy aged just one - a plushie Eeyore - and began building a proper collection from the age of 10.
Her idea of a dream day out as a child was her parents taking she and her sister, Kerri, now 22, to the Disney Store or Toys 'R' Us to pick a treat.
She also fell in love with all the films - everything from the classics through to Disney Channel movies and Marvel.
Her favourite is Princess And The Frog - which she has seen over 300 times.
Ronni said: "I love Princess and the Frog."
"I saw it in the cinema when it came out, it has such a special place in my heart."
"I really love the messaging behind the story."
She has even learnt all the history of the huge company - and it would be her specialist subject if she ever went on a TV quiz show.
She went to Disneyland Paris in 2015 and said she was able to escape "into another world"."
She said it would be "a dream" to visit Disney California one day - where she would be able to add even more to her extensive £10k collection of Disney items."
Her favourites are a Remy plush from Ratatouille, a plush of Figment, a dragon featured at Epcot park, and a 90cm tall giant Stitch toy.
Ronni, who has autism, anxiety, OCD and is undergoing testing for ADHD, said Disney is a way of comforting herself and feeling "safe" when she feels overwhelmed."
She also credits it with supporting her and her whole family through the grief of losing Barry last year.
She said: "When my grandad passed last year it was really difficult for me and my mum, but we found light in Disney movies and music."
"To keep our minds off things, we watched musicals and live action movies and went round charity shops and car boot sales looking for new plushies."
"My grandad wasn't into Disney but he loved music and really appreciated the music in the films."
Ronni watches at least one Disney film a day and has to use a random number generator to select which one.
She added: "I remember when Disney+ came out, I got a membership on the first day and spent the whole day sat watching movies."
