CCTV footage shows magnitude 6.8 shaking the front of a resort in Surigao del Sur province, the Philippines, on August 3 morning.

When the trembling began, workers and a pet dog were seen leaving the property while another one remained inside a shop before going out when the movements were calmer.

The quake lasted for almost a minute but no damages were reported from the resort.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said in a bulletin: ‘No destructive tsunami threat exists based on available data.

‘This is for information purposes only and there is no tsunami threat to the Philippines from this earthquake.'

The Philippines is located along the Pacific Ring of Fire, which has a high level of tectonic activity, including frequent earthquakes and numerous active volcanoes.
