The hilarious video shows a playful male spherical armadillo boldly attacking a zookeeper's blue Crocs shoe and fighting it like a ninja.

In the video, captured at Moscow Zoo, Russia, the adorable armadillo named Sharik can be seen pulling the shoe off the zookeeper's foot with his little paws and grabbing it with force on July 27.

Lying on its back, the armadillo attacks the Crocs until the zookeeper decides to eventually take it back.

But Sharik did not give up, and he immediately jumped onto his paws ready for the next attack by the blue rival.

General Director of the Moscow Zoo Svetlana Akulova said in a statement: 'The spherical armadillo Sharik has found a worthy opponent.'

Sharik was born in Wroclaw, Poland on October 8, 2017.

The armadillo arrived at the Leningrad Zoo in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 2019.

Sharik settled in quickly, immediately marking his territory.

A spherical armadillo from the Leningrad Zoo went to the Moscow Zoo as part of a project to breed animals of his species.

One of the tasks of zoos is the preservation and reproduction of rare species, for which special programs have been created.

It is not always possible to find a pair right away due to many important details, but the Leningrad Zoo staff hopes that armadillos will get along and will form a strong couple and have offspring.
