Foreign guests were impressed by the unique aroma of the locally produced vine tea at a tea festival in Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, central China's Hubei Province.

Laifeng vine tea, made from vine leaves of ampelopsis plants, was recognized as a national geographical indication product in 2013.

SOUNDBITE 1 (Chinese): HA SUNGJU, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Wuhan
"The scenery here is beautiful, and the air is so fresh. The natural environment is really well-protected. That's why the area produces such great vine tea. Nowadays, people are very health-conscious. Enshi has soil rich in selenium, and this vine tea also has a high selenium content, which I think is fantastic."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): CHRISTOPHER GREEN, Consul General of the United States in Wuhan
"I am very impressed with the vine tea here. I tried several different products. It tastes very refreshing, and I was very impressed with the presentation and all of the health benefits."

Chinese tea is renowned for its exceptional quality and plays a significant role in the vibrant trade and cultural exchanges between China and the world.

SOUNDBITE 3 (English): CHRISTOPHER GREEN, Consul General of the United States in Wuhan
"I think one way we can facilitate trade is to assist trade delegations traveling to the U.S. and help them engage with counterparts that can facilitate the business. And we very much look forward to increasing trade and cultural ties with Enshi and the people of Hubei over the next few years."
