An adorable Caramel Pink Brazilian turtle was born with three eyes in Maoming, Guangdong, China, on July 29.

Footage shows the hatchling with a third eye on the side of its face, while its sibling can be seen walking inside the small pink container.

A local admired the turtle's appearance, linking it to Erlang Shen, a mythical figure known for having three eyes in Chinese folklore.

Triocular syndrome occurs due to a rare congenital anomaly. During embryonic development, errors in the formation of the neural tube or ocular structures can result in extra eyes.

These turtles are notable for their soft, pink shells and equally tender paws, which aid their movement.

According to local media reports, the animals are yet to be named.
