A smart dog was spotted riding on a buffalo to cross a river in southwest China.

The video was filmed in Qiannan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Province on June 14.

Witnesses describe how the dog appeared hesitant about the rushing water but seized an opportunity when the buffalo also approached the river.

The dog reportedly ran swiftly to the buffalo and nimbly leapt onto its back. The buffalo, seemingly unbothered by the dog's presence, continued to wade steadily through the water.
