Spain: Helicopter Lifted by Another Aircraft After Collision with Power Lines in Alfafar
Alfafar, Spain - August 06, 2024
An emergency response was triggered today as a helicopter operated by BombersValencia, designated V990 with GERA, collided with power lines in the Albufera area of Alfafar.
The incident occurred while the helicopter was conducting fumigation operations over rice fields in Alfafar. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
The Consorci V990 helicopter, along with the GERA team, swiftly moved to secure the crash site and prevent any leakage of fumigation materials or fuel from the machine. Efforts are underway to ensure the safe handling of the helicopter and its contents.
