USA: North Hollywood Fatal Shooting

08/05/2024 09:20 pm (GMT-0700) | NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES – LAPD's North Hollywood Division officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon shooting call at 9:26 p.m. in the 5600 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard. One man in his 40s was found fatally shot and pronounced deceased at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel, according to Officer Drake Madison, spokesperson for the LAPD.
An armed suspect was still in the building according to officers initially at the scene. Residents were evacuated from the apartment complex as a precaution.
Madison says the suspect is unknown at this time, and the department has yet to determine if the incident is gang related.
