08/06/2024 02:40 am (GMT-0700) | CHINO, Calif. – Chino Valley Fire Department and Chino PD responded to a fire at a warehouse at 13502 Vintage Place in the city of Chino. Once firefighters arrived on the scene, they located a warehouse with both the rollup doors that appeared to be blown off the hinges and smoke coming from inside the warehouse. The sprinkler system from inside the warehouse was activated due to the fire. There was a small fire outside that firefighters were able to extinguish. Per Chino Valley Fire Department radio traffic firefighters, an explosion had occurred at the warehouse. After about 10 to 15 minutes, firefighters gained access inside to the warehouse and determined that the fire was out and it was safe. Unknown at this time what’s inside the warehouse and what caused the explosion. One roll-up door was blown off the hinges and the second roll-up door was pushed off the hinges but remains in the warehouse. Chino Valley Fire Department had an arson investigator en route to the scene.
