On August 4, 2024, a violent riot broke out in Kovel, Volyn Oblast, Ukraine. The unrest began on the night of August 3-4 when local residents clashed with representatives of the Territorial Assembly Center (TCC) who had allegedly arrived from Lviv. The confrontation was triggered by the forced detention of two teenagers, aged 18-19, by TCC employees. The incident sparked widespread outrage, leading hundreds to gather at the TCC building, demanding the teenagers' release. The video shared online depicts the crowd aggressively confronting the TCC staff, throwing tires, and shouting demands and insults.
