Sri, a local resident, said: "So the 3-story tall building collapsed, it sounded like an explosion. I heard it and saw the incident directly."

"The condition of the house seemed to have shifted. Residents were already suspicious about the condition, but didn't expect it to immediately collapse like what happened," explained Sri.

The building was built just three years ago.

A three-story shophouse (ruko) building on Jalan Sampora, Sukamenak Village, Margahayu District, Bandung Regency, West Java, Indonesia, collapsed on Tuesday 6 August 2024.

Seen in the video, residents were watching the building collapse from a fairly close distance. Luckily in this incident there were no casualties.


Sri, one of the residents who was at the location, said that the incident occurred at 16.00 West Indonesian time local time. the sound of the collapse was like an explosion.

"So the 3-story tall building collapsed, it sounded like an explosion. I heard it and saw the incident directly," said Sri.

Sri explained that when they heard the sound of several buildings falling in the house, the residents asked the house owner to come out.

"So there were five people in the house at the time of the incident. Luckily, everyone was asked to leave before the house collapsed. The residents even had time to help the grandmother who was not feeling well, who was picked up by the residents," he explained.

It is known that residents who want to cross the road have been detained, not to cross because there are houses that are about to collapse.
