UAE: Dubai Chambers president expects increased collaboration with China in emerging industries
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - August 06, 2024
President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, expects to foster increased collaboration with China, particularly in emerging industries like technology.
Lootah expressed his anticipation for pragmatic cooperation with China in emerging fields, during an exclusive interview with China Global Television Network (CGTN) in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday.
2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the China-UAE diplomatic ties, and the two countries have witnessed growing economic ties over the past decades.
Against this background of friendship, the Dubai Chambers will host the "Dubai Business Forum" from August 21-22 in Beijing, the first overseas stop of its flagship event.
According to Lootah, the purpose of this forum is to bring the two sides' businesses closer, promote investment opportunities in both destinations and tap into opportunities for cooperation in emerging sectors.
To promote the development of the digital economy, the Dubai Chambers has established a dedicated branch for this particular field.
In emerging industries, Lootah said he looks forward to increased collaboration with Chinese tech players.

And what's more interesting is that a good number of them are small and medium businesses. And we noticed an increased adoption when it comes to Chinese technologies in Dubai and in the region. And I think it's important to interact more with the Chinese tech players.";
