Truck driver crashes into traffic light pole in St. Petersburg, injuring 13-year-old girl
On August 4, 2024, in the Primorsky District of St. Petersburg, Russia, a truck driver crashed into a traffic light pole, causing it to fall on a 13-year-old schoolgirl crossing the road. The girl sustained a concussion and a cut wound to her forehead and was taken to the hospital where doctors assess her condition as moderate. The driver, a 25-year-old native of the Republic of Dagestan, was detained. Over the past six months, he had been cited 14 times for traffic violations.
