Heroic passengers saved a girl after she fell into a train platform gap at a railway station in northern China.

Video filmed at Xi'an Railway Station in Shaanxi Province on August 4, shows a mother, in a desperate bid to save her daughter who had accidentally fallen into the gap between a train and the platform, jumping down after her.

Thanks to the quick response and collective effort of nearby passengers, both mother and daughter were rescued within seconds.

According to eyewitnesses, a train had made a brief stop at Xi'an Railway Station, and many passengers used the short break to step out and stretch. However, within those few minutes, a young girl, walking alone on the platform, slipped and fell into the gap. The sudden incident left everyone around in shock, but it was the girl's mother who was most frantic.

Upon hearing her daughter's cries for help, the mother rushed forward without hesitation and jumped into the gap. The sight of this caused immense concern among those present.

"Help! Someone help!" Several passengers quickly gathered, with some calling emergency services, while others searched for anything that could be used to pull them up.

At this critical moment, a few male passengers stepped forward without a second thought. Together, they carefully grabbed hold of the mother and daughter's arms and pulled them out of the gap in under a minute.

Thankfully, both the mother and daughter were unharmed and continued their journey by train to their destination.

听到女儿的呼救声后，母亲毫不犹豫地冲上前去，在紧急和慌乱之中，她跳了缝隙中，这一幕让在场的所有人都揪紧了心。

“快救人！快救人！”随着呼喊声响起，多位乘客迅速围拢过来，他们有的拨打紧急电话求助，有的则试图寻找可以拉拽的工具。在这关键时刻，几位身强力壮的男乘客毫不犹豫地伸出援手，他们合力拉住母女俩的手臂，小心翼翼地将她们从缝隙中先后拉了出来，整个救援过程不到一分钟。
被救出的母女俩所幸身体并无大碍，随后自行乘火车去往目的地。
