Motorcycle crash injures 2 after basketball rolls into busy road in southern China
A motorcycle crash injures two people after a basketball rolled into a busy road in southern China.
CCTV footage filmed in Chongqing on July 29, shows a basketball held in a boy’s hands at a bus stop suddenly slipping out and rolling into the middle of a busy road.
Mr Wan, who was riding his motorcycle with his wife, was unable to avoid the ball and crashed to the ground. Thankfully, the taxi following behind managed to brake just in time, preventing a more serious accident.
Eyewitnesses at the scene noted that the boy, who was accompanied by his parents, had not been bouncing the ball prior to the incident.
After the accident, the boy's parents quickly took Mr Wan and his wife to hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries.
The parents, acknowledging that they had overlooked the potential risk of the ball slipping from their child's hands, took full responsibility for the accident and apologised to the injured couple.
