An out-of-control pickup truck swerved to avoid another car and crashed into a noodle stall.

CCTV footage shows the black truck trying to avoid a sedan, veering to the right, and ramming into the shop on the side of the road in Sakon Nakhon, Thailand, on August 5.

It narrowly missed the vendors, who moved away to dodge it but demolished the stall outside.

The truck drifted past the shop and stopped in front of the house next door. No one, including the driver, was injured.

Shop owner Puriku Akatumuay said: ‘It happened so fast. The noodle stall was completely destroyed, but no one was hurt.'

Despite being one of the wealthiest countries in Asia, Thailand suffers from chronic underinvestment in its highways and education, contributing to its poor road safety levels. Only a handful of African countries are worse.

Thailand has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027.
