USA: Downtown Los Angeles Man Fatally Stabbed With Machete

08/08/2024 11:20 pm (GMT-0700) | DTLA – LAPD Central units responded to reports of a stabbing victim at a smoke shop on 6th Street just west of Maple Avenue.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a male down on the sidewalk with multiple stab wounds.
According to Officer Drake Madison, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department, the victim and suspect were involved in an argument during which, the suspect stabbed the victim with a machete in the 500 block of South Los Angeles Street.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased, according to Madison.
The suspect fled the scene on foot armed with the machete on Sixth Street.
