China: Dog Dangles from Elevator After Leash Snag

Recent events in Yancheng, Jiangsu have highlighted the potential dangers of taking pets on elevators. A dog owner was caught in a harrowing situation when their dog failed to enter the elevator with them, resulting in the pet being lifted suddenly after the elevator started moving, and the owner's wrist was caught in the leash.
Emergency services from Jiangsu Fire Department were quick to respond to the distress call. Using specialized tools, firefighters tirelessly attempted to free the owner from the entangled leash while also providing emotional support. Once safely rescued, the owner was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the dog managed to escape from the leash and emerged unscathed from the incident.
