7 dead in a stampede at a temple in Bihar's Jehanabad district
Seven people died and nine were injured in a stampede at Baba Siddhanth Temple in Bihar's Jehanabad district on Monday morning. The injured were rushed to the hospitals in Makhdumpur and Jehanabad for treatment. Alankrita Pandey, the district magistrate of Jehanabad, stated on Monday morning that the situation is under control.
Jehanabad District Magistrate Alankrita Pandey said, "At least seven people died and nine injured in a stampede at Baba Siddhnath Temple in Makhdumpur of Jehanabad district. We are monitoring everything and now the situation is under control." Soon after the news of the stampede came out, the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police visited the spot.
The police are currently trying to identify the people who have died during the stampede.
