USA: Pomona Train Fire

08/11/2024 01:31 am (GMT-0700) | POMONA, Calif. – LACoFD received a 911 call from Union Pacific regarding one of their cargo trailers on fire and coming from one of their containers at E. First Street and S. Palomares Street in the city of Pomona. Once firefighters arrived, on scene, they located a cargo with heavy smoke and fire coming from inside. Firefighters achieved knockdown within 30 to 45 minutes from when the call came out. LACoFD requested an arson investigator to respond to the scene. The cargo trailer contained tires and food produce, per LACoFD information at the scene.
